Battery Powered Generator

When it comes to camping nothing beats having a generator to help power lights, stoves, cookware and other items that require electricity. Having a battery powered generator provides an easy to use source of external power, even if you arn't camping. People who live in extreme weather climates will find this type of generator useful when their power is disrupted from natural disasters such as tornadoes, hurricans, sunamis, and extreme wind and rain. Though battery is the most common choice of backup power it will do the job for small appliances only to be used when necessary. More common types of power generators are gas which has other alternatives such as natural gas, biodiesel, etc.. A more common generator source for camping is propane which is more affordable.

I could only find one brand that carries battery powered generators, some of these include Xantrex Xpower which has the Powerpack series and provides up to three AC outlets. This series is really made for the RV, because it comes with an alarm clock, jumper cables and a built in light.

The price for this particular brand looks like averages around $150.00 which isn't too bad for a small generator. Bigger generators for your home will cost you minimum $400 and can run into the thousands.

I hope this small guide helped you in your quest to find information about battery powered generators.
